Amateur Musicians Society

Inspiring Musicians for Life

We are a community of musicians and music enthusiasts who come together to celebrate and promote creativity in all its forms. Our mission is to provide a platform for artists to showcase their work, connect with other artists, and engage with the wider community. We believe that music has the power to inspire, challenge, and transform, and we are committed to supporting artists in their pursuit of creative expression.

A New Destination for the Passionate Amateur Musician

For those who live for the stage, thrive on artistic challenge, and find joy in connecting with fellow musicians around the world—our new festival series is designed with you in mind.

We are planning to  launch a rotating cycle of annual amateur festival, set against the backdrop of a peaceful mountain retreat. Each year will highlight a different discipline:

  • Piano
  • Concerto
  • Chamber Music and Solo Instrumental (non-piano)

We know your calendars fill quickly with festivals and competitions—so we’ve carved out a special place in the season that invites both artistic intensity and space to breathe. Whether you're here to be discovered or to rediscover your love of performing, this is a space for both.

Stay tuned for full details soon. We can’t wait to welcome you.

Sing Palat sets an example and the story to share

Recording session for the next piano competition.

Sponsored by Steinway & Sons Colorado.

On June 29, 2025, the Steinway Store in Denver graciously allowed Sing Palat to make a recording of L’Isle Joyeuse (C. Debussy). The recording was sent to the AVIMC Music Competition and the Special Venue Music Awards, each which provide amateur musicians the opportunity to play at Carnegie Hall, among other venues. “The Steinway model D has a big sound and requires a sensitive touch. It was such a treat.” Sing sits on the Board of Evergreen Music and Performing Arts and is the director for the Amateur Musicians Society.

Evergreen Music and Performing Arts Hosted an Intimate Evening of Amateur Jazz

On April 10th, as part of its Amateur Musicians Society program, the Evergreen Music and Performing Arts (EMPA), hosted its inaugural event by celebrating the timeless and soulful sounds of jazz. The event brought together a vibrant mix of passionate ensemble musicians ranging in age from high school to talented players over fifty-five showcasing the timeless, unifying power of music across generations. The evening was a heartwarming performance of musical connection, collaboration, and creativity set in the welcoming, intimate setting of the Evergreen Conservatory of Music. The program was made possible by the generous courtesy of musicians led by Clint Dadian, a professional guitarist and composer.

The intimate venue buzzed with anticipation as friends, families, and jazz enthusiasts gathered to experience a rich and varied program. The performers honored jazz greats such as Miles Davis, Chick Corea, Horace Silver, and others, delivering memorable renditions that blended technical skill with deep emotional expression. Each piece was a journey through catchy rhythms, layered tones, and expressive melodic solos — a celebration of jazz’s endless capacity for reinvention. Each piece was infused with personality, energy, and the kind of joy that only live performance can deliver. The night concluded with an open jam session — a true expression of jazz’s collaborative spirit — where the musicians came together to explore, experiment, and simply play.

Throughout the night, the performers’ joy was contagious. With every chord progression and improvisational turn, their collaboration on stage reminded us why live music matters. The setting — cozy, close-knit, and acoustically rich — allowed the audience to connect deeply with the music and the musicians, making the experience feel more like a gathering of old friends than a formal concert. It was a fitting close to a night that celebrated not just jazz, but the spirit of community and creativity that defines Evergreen Music and Performing Arts.

We thank everyone who came out to support our performers and be a part of this special night. The echoes of collaboration, rhythm, and harmony linger still — a testament to the power of music to bring us together.
