Dear Supporters,
On behalf of Evergreen Music and Performing Arts, I would like to share our vision for bringing world-class music to our mountain community and to invite you to help build something truly extraordinary in the Foothills.
Our Vision for Evergreen
We founded Evergreen Music and Performing Arts in January 2025 because we believe music has the power to heal, connect, and transform lives, and that every family in our community deserves access to meaningful musical experiences. Our vision extends beyond individual programs. We are working to create a cultural hub where world-class performances meet the intimacy and acoustic excellence that make live performance unforgettable.
One essential element is still missing in our mountain community: a purpose-designed performance space with the acoustics to fully realize the emotional power of live music. You cannot experience the breathtaking resonance of a cello, the delicate interplay within a string quartet, or the profound stillness between notes without a space built to carry sound with clarity and depth. Without proper acoustics, the resonance, nuance, and emotional richness that make live performance meaningful are lost. Our community deserves a space where music can be fully experienced, not just heard, and we are working to build it.
As we work toward this vision, our first step is introducing transformative music programs to our community. By bringing diverse musical experiences directly to families throughout Jefferson County, we're building an engaged community of music lovers and establishing a strong foundation of support for what comes next.
Music Bridges: Building Audiences and Expanding Access
Through partnerships with Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute and the Evergreen Conservatory of Music, Music Bridges brings four evidence-based programs to Jefferson County that address a critical gap: access to professional arts programming close to home.
- The Lullaby Project pairs new and expecting parents with professional musicians to co-create personal lullabies. This program supports maternal mental health, strengthens early development, and honors cultural and linguistic diversity.
- Well Being Concerts combine live chamber music with simple mindfulness practices that offer stress relief and emotional grounding for youth and families navigating anxiety and trauma.
- Family Concerts make live performance engaging and accessible for children and parents through hands-on exploration and interactive storytelling, building the next generation of music lovers.
- Crossover Currents connects classical music with jazz, world music, and contemporary styles, demonstrating the ongoing relevance and expressive power of chamber music.
Amateur Musicians Society: Celebrating Performers
We're also nurturing local artistry through our Amateur Musicians Society. This program creates an intimate, welcoming space where passionate amateur musicians of all ages and backgrounds can share their work, connect with fellow artists, and experience the joy of live music-making. Through monthly themed concerts and collaborative events, we're fostering a vibrant community while honoring the rich tradition of amateur music-making.
