This season, Evergreen Music and Performing Arts brings world-class soloists and chamber ensembles to our community in a series of intimate performances. Each program pairs masterfully played works from the late 20th and 21st centuries with cherished classics, performed by emerging musicians and kept engaging for listeners of every age.
Today’s chamber and solo music is blending folk, indie rock, and electronics into the concert hall, creating sounds that feel alive rather than archived. Genre boundaries are dissolving as a solo cello piece might sit beside a loop pedal, or a string quartet might groove like a rock band—music in conversation with pop culture rather than sealed off from it. With just one or a few performers and no distance between artist and audience, listeners hear the music’s raw textures up close: breath, string noise, the human body audible in every phrase. And much of today’s new work speaks directly to culture, place, and the human experience, giving audiences something real to hold onto beyond pure sound.
We invite you to experience this music the way it was meant to be heard — up close, unfiltered, and alive.
Every performance is also a step toward something larger: a dedicated concert hall for our town. We invite you to be part of the journey from its very first notes.
